Miner, the guy we all hate, but are secretly attracted to, who was actually kind of right all along.Brutal fact - Jim was a failure of a manager, constantly failed to implement any solutions that the team actually enjoyed, had to be bailed out by Michael a couple of times and even gave up as soon as he knew he would earn more as a salesman.He was more than happy to leave Staples and run back into Dunder Mifflin's loving embrace.Great write-up for sure, but I'm not really clear what your theory is.What's his sin, that he disliked an employee turning the workplace into a prank show.Not to mention getting pissy and firing the Stamford staff who wanted to quit, which meant the company had to pay them severance. Charles Miner was right.
At least RC had some funny lines, but CM wasn't written very well, he is supposed to be some whiz bang manager, but he immediately alienates Michael and Jim, and almost causes the downfall of the Scranton Branch.I thought his moments with Michel were gold and he was a good way to shake things up.Mindy and Paul Lieberstein love The Wire, and they chose Amy Ryan who is awesome as Holly, but Idris Elba felt wrong for the part of Charles IMO.But to answer your question, I love California and hate Miner.He's a jerk.and Jim was one of the company's top salesmen, on top of it all.I can't fault Charles for being hated because he was supposed to be.Robert California has amazing dialogue pretty much every time he opens his mouth.Miner, on the other hand, was a dick who served a very specific purpose.
